With the first project meeting being held in Aachen the interregional project AC EMR 2012 has been kicked off. The purpose of the project is to improve the position of the automotive industry in the regions: Brabant, Limburg (both NL and BE) Wallonia and Aachen. this is done by using the competences found in the area and bring companies together in both supply chain clusters and knowledge networks. In the project run by the automotive clusters Car e.V., Flanders’ Drive, CAW, ATC en ULG and the economic development agencies AGIT, POM, SPI+ and BOM. The project is made possible for ATC through interreg (eu) and local funding from province of Brabant, Limburg and the Ministery of economic affairs.
